Ultra-Containment Berm® – Ultimate Model
Keep plastic pellets and other microplastics off the ground and out of our waterways
The Ultra-Containment Berm is designed to capture leaks and spills from large vehicles, and it is equally effective at capturing plastic pellets that spill onto the ground and would otherwise end up in our waterways.
Its 12″ walls are supported by a unique “living hinge” that bends under a vehicle and snaps back into place, so vehicles can drive in and out hands-free with no need to raise or lower the end walls by hand. Both long sidewalls are held upright by PVC sidewall assemblies. Swivel the feet to lower the sidewalls when it’s time to store the berm or move it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size berm do I need?
We recommend 2 feet of clearance on all sides of the item within the berm if space allows. For example, for a truck 8 feet wide by 55 feet long, we suggest a 12′ x 60′ berm.
Can custom sizes be ordered?
Yes. We can make containment berms in custom sizes in virtually any length and width.
What about custom heights?
Custom heights are available for most Ultra-Containment Berms. Please contact us for details.
How can I protect my berm from damage?
Ground tarps and track belts add layers of protection. Operational precautions help too. Avoid hard braking and skidding, and don’t turn before fully exiting the berm, because crossing the sidewall at the wrong angle can cause damage. A warning cone, or a line of cones, reminds drivers to steer straight until clear.
What is the optional ground tarp for?
It adds protection from punctures or damage from beneath the berm. Standard procedure is to sweep the area of rocks and debris, lay down the ground tarp, and then place the berm.
What size ground tarp should I order?
For smaller standard berms, we recommend the 11′ x 11′ ground tarp (Part #8311). For larger berms, add 4′ to both the length and width of the berm. For example, use a 16′ x 64′ tarp for a 12′ x 60′ berm.
What are the track belts for?
Track belts are strips of very heavy-duty reinforced PVC that lie inside the berm. They take the wear and tear from vehicle tires driving in and out, which extends the life of the berm.
What is the operating temperature range?
PVC: max 150°F, min −20°F. Copolymer 2000™: max 160°F, min −25°F.
What freight class do the berms ship under?
Class 125, from our factory in N. Augusta, SC 29860.
