Heavy-duty, adjustable catch basin filter captures plastic pellets as small as 1.5mm
The Ultra-Storm Guard HD has built-in stainless steel screens that capture microplastics (“nurdles”) 1.5mm (1,500 microns) or larger, which is smaller than what the original Ultra-Storm Guard captures. It stops them before they enter our waterways, where marine life and wildlife ingest them, often with fatal consequences. It also captures larger items and floatables such as leaves, cigarette butts, paper goods, and other debris.
Made from high-strength, 5000-series aluminum, this catch basin insert is custom-made to fit your catch basin, adjusts 2″ in either direction, can be reused after cleaning, and is built to last. It also helps facilities comply with Operation Clean Sweep® and other “zero plastic resin loss” programs.
