Heavy-duty, adjustable catch basin filter captures plastic pellets and other contaminants
At the storm drain, screening and filtration are the last and most critical line of defense. The Ultra-Storm Guard captures microplastics (“nurdles”) before they enter our waterways, where marine life and wildlife ingest them, often with fatal consequences. It also captures larger items and floatables such as leaves, cigarette butts, paper goods, and other debris.
Installation is simple: raise the grate, place the Ultra-Storm Guard over the opening, adjust it (up to 2″ in each direction), and carefully lower the grate back into place. The standard size is 24″ x 24″, with custom sizes available, and the Ultra-Storm Guard helps facilities comply with Operation Clean Sweep® and other “zero plastic resin loss” programs.
